Are your cosmetics toxic?

Are your cosmetics toxic?

It is time that you inform yourself about the products you use on your body.  You may be surprised by the amount of hazardous chemicals that fill the ingredient list of your favorite lotion.  The cleaning products under your sink are not the only products to worry about breathing in.  More important are the products you actually put on your skin, hair or teeth.  Now is the time to go through your bathroom and see exactly what your shampoos and lotions are made of.  Most likely you will not even know what these chemicals are and how harmful they may or may not be.  However, Cosmetic Database makes it very easy to find out what damage you may be doing to yourself.

This website provides a list of thousands of products in each body care category and rates each product on a hazard level.  Use the search box on the site to see if the products you use are harmful as it lists each ingredient and its harmful effect.  The best part may be the list of alternatives it provides, so you can choose a healthier product.  Body care products contain many ingredients that can  hazardous to our health, so I suggest we begin taking a closer look at all products we use and especially those for body care.

Check out this great resource and start taking control of the way you take care of your body.  You may even find some of these more natural and less toxic products in the body care section of Hanna’s Herb Shop.
