Hanna’s books offer guidance for health complaints and today’s post shares remedies to address the pain, stiffness, and swelling of arthritis.

When arthritis sets in, you must change your lifestyle and diet; leave out sugar, cakes, cookies, potato chips, and heavy metals and start exercising. It is thought that most arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatism have a hidden virus and the herbal antidote is a combination of yucca, black walnut leaves, yellow dock, wormwood, and fenugreek seed. These herbs are used to repair the damage caused by arthritis and bring some comfort.

To help relieve arthritis, try the following remedies:

  • Take one teaspoon cod-liver oil in orange juice at bedtime.
  • Take one tablespoon almond oil in cherry juice upon rising. You can also use safflower oil or peanut oil.
  • Take 5 to 7 alfalfa capsules with each meal. Alfalfa releases the stiffness in joints and muscles.
  • Eat a saucer full of cherries or drink two glasses cherry juice each day to reduce uric acid. Uric acid collects in the joints and causes pain and stiffness.
  • To rebuild the undernourished adrenal gland, which is so significant in arthritis, take licorice root, vitamins B and C together, pantothenic acid, and extra B12 and B6 when the hands are affected.
  • Omit coffee and sugar.
  • Use two parts calcium to one part magnesium to rebuild the joins, relieve pain, and act as a tranquilizer. Take half of your calcium-magnesium intake with cod-liver oil.
