Today is Wear Red Day to raise awareness for heart disease in women. Heart disease was once believed to be a “man’s disease” yet more women die from it than men. Women may believe that their number one concern is breast cancer but statistics show that in fact it’s heart disease. Take a look below for some simple steps to help save a life.

Do you smoke? Stop. Aside from the health concerns with cancer, lung disorders, and pre-mature aging, smoking is a contributing factor to diseases of the heart. Stop again, and again, and again until you finally give it up for good.
