If you’re going to be using your own blends of essential oils, why not consider creating:
- DIY Diffuser for the Home or Office Who needs to purchase diffuser kits when you can use natural objects and create your own? For a DIY diffuser, soak small twigs or sturdy dried grasses in a shallow dish filled with your homemade blend until fully saturated. Once the twigs or grasses are saturated, stand them up in a small glass vessel and transfer the remainder of your essential oil blend inside. As the oil evaporates into the air, more will wick up from the bottom of the natural diffuser sticks.
- DIY Sachet for Your Computer Cut a couple of rectangular pieces of absorbent felt a few inches larger than the size of your laptop then layer the felt pieces and place the stack underneath your computer. Put a few drops of your oil blend on the exposed felt surrounding your computer.
- DIY Linen/Room Spray Add 10 drops of your essential oil blend to a one-ounce bottle then fill to the top with water. Shake the bottle well before each use. Avoid spraying any essential oil blend on wood furniture but spritz liberally on sturdy fabrics like bedding and drapery.
Now that you’re aware of the various ways you can spread the fragrance of your DIY blend, take a look at these examples of combinations that have a purpose.
